“Dear Mr Sharp … It is now almost a year since you performed a bilateral Balloon Eustachian Tuboplasty (BET) on me, and as I understand this was a relatively new procedure, I thought I would give you some feedback on its success. I have for many years suffered intermittent ear blockage throughout the winter. Whenever I bent over to wash my hair, weed the garden, do Pilates etc my eustachian tubes would block, leaving me deaf. Sometimes I would be able to clear them, but often not for several days. This affected my life to the extent that I was unable to enjoy singing, concerts, plays and social engagements because of my deafness. It made me miserable and it seemed as though nothing could be done. Then I was referred to you. When you suggested the BET I was willing to give it a try and I must say it has been a great success! My ears cleared within a few days and since then I have had no blockages at all. What a joy! I have my life back.
