Alistair Balfour

Mr. Alistair Balfour is a highly experienced consultant ENT surgeon, providing expert care in Kent and the South East of England. With over a decade of surgical experience, he offers a comprehensive range of services in both private and NHS settings.

Graduating from the prestigious St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals Medical School, Mr. Balfour went on to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His career has been defined by a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for his patients, with a particular focus on head and neck surgery, paediatric otolaryngology and rhinology.

Mr. Balfour holds memberships with several key professional bodies, including the British Association of Otorhinolaryngologists, Head and Neck Surgeons (BAO-HNS), the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons (BAETS), and the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists (BAHNO). His clinical interests encompass a broad spectrum of ENT conditions, including sinus surgery, sleep disorders, snoring, thyroid disease and voice disorders.

His NHS work is based at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust, where he is committed to providing high-quality care in all aspects of ENT surgery. In the private sector, he offers services at The Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury, Spencer Private Hospital in Ashford, and Benenden Hospital in Cranbrook, ensuring that patients receive the very best care in a personalised setting.
