I have worked as a Consultant ENT Surgeon in East Kent in both NHS and Private Practice for 21 years. From 2024 I have dedicated myself full-time to my Private Practice.
My extensive experience allows me to offer you and your family a truly bespoke and up to date service in the diagnosis and treatment of all aspects of your Ear, Nose and Throat issues.
In addition to my general ENT experience, I have throughout my career dedicated myself to achieving excellence in the Medical and Surgical treatment of problems that arise with the structure and function of the nose (termed a Rhinologist and Nasal Plastic Surgeon) and have been recognised by my peers throughout the UK as being an expert in this field.
I pride myself on the clarity and empathy of my communication with my patients, to listening carefully about how I may help you, and as a result always hope to remedy most of your issues without resorting to surgery.
If surgery is required, my particular surgical expertise is in Septoplasty and Turbinate surgery (operations to improve breathing through the nose), Rhinoplasty (a ‘nose-job’, or operation to improve the shape of the nose) and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (F.E.S.S), which is surgery performed on the nose and sinuses for long standing sinus problems and/or nasal polyps.
I perform several of these operations per week and prospectively measure and audit the results of my Treatment and Surgery according to the very best accepted practice, via validated patient questionnaires and careful post-operative follow up and monitoring when required.

My Surgical ResultsTestimonials
Dear Mr Sharp … I wanted to thank you for the amazing work you carried out with my septorhinoplasty operation. Your care and expertise were exemplary, and the overall result has been a complete confidence booster for me. I am very happy with the overall look. Thank you once again. Best wishes.
To Mr Sharp and Staff … Thank you very much for your time and effort and my new nose!! My health has improved dramatically and I am sleeping much better! Thank you again. Lots of love xxx
Dear Mr Sharp … Just to send my thanks for the lovely outcome of my op last February. In 6 months since my FESS and septoplasty I’m back to enjoying good health again and have only had one brief episode of sinusitis which settled over a few days with antibiotics. To have regained a good sense of smell has been a wonderful pleasure and to have ceased to awake in the early hours with nasal blockage really great so I can’t thank you enough for your help. Yours sincerely.
Dear Mr Sharp … Just to say that it is a couple of years since you did my operation (reducing bone in my sinuses – can’t remember exactly what it was called!) and that it has been a great success. I am generally healthier and only get ‘normal’ congestion now, rather than every day. Everything is clearer and lighter, and my ears were even better when I last went on an aeroplane! The results are brilliant – keep up the good work. Regards
Dear Mr Sharp … I would like to thank you for the excellent job you did for me when you performed a septoplasty and endoscopic DCR. The results were amazing and instant! As the operation was done endoscopically I have no scar and without the constant tears dripping from my eye and eye infections I suffered my life has been transformed. I am extremely grateful to you. Yours sincerely.
To Mr Sharp … Thank you so very much for your care and talent in rebuilding my nose. I can never remember having a straight nose as I broke it the first time as a small child. I am amazed at what you have done for me. With many thanks.
Dear Mr Sharp … I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for giving me my life back following my septoplasty and right endoscopic DCR operation. For years I had suffered with constantly having to have a tissue to hand as I wipe my eye and face as I ‘cried’. Wearing spectacles didn’t help either as I had to keep wiping my lenses as well as my eye to be able to see. I work with members of the public who showed me undeserving sympathy believing I had a reason to cry! Now I can go all day without giving a ‘crying’ eye a thought and tissues are no longer my constant companion. Yours sincerely.
Dear Mr Sharp … I’m very pleased with the (Septorhinoplasty) surgery that was done. It’s great that I’m not sniffing all the time and can breathe properly. Really pleased with the shape of my nose and would recommend surgery to anyone who has the same problem as I had. Many thanks again.
Dear Mr Sharp … It is now almost a year since you performed a bilateral Balloon Eustachian Tuboplasty (BET) on me, and as I understand this was a relatively new procedure, I thought I would give you some feedback on its success. I have for many years suffered intermittent ear blockage throughout the winter. Whenever I bent over to wash my hair, weed the garden, do Pilates etc my eustachian tubes would block, leaving me deaf. Sometimes I would be able to clear them, but often not for several days. This affected my life to the extent that I was unable to enjoy singing, concerts, plays and social engagements because of my deafness. It made me miserable and it seemed as though nothing could be done. Then I was referred to you. When you suggested the BET I was willing to give it a try and I must say it has been a great success! My ears cleared within a few days and since then I have had no blockages at all. What a joy! I have my life back. I would certainly recommend this procedure to anyone suffering from hearing loss due to eustachian tube dysfunction and thank you so much for carrying it out. Yours sincerely.
